Working principle
Screw conveyor also called Screw feeder or Screw type Bucket Elevator, is a kind of machinery that uses a motor to drive the screw rotation and push the material to achieve the purpose of conveying. The working principle is that when the screw shaft rotates, due to the gravity of the material and the friction generated by the trough wall, the material can only move forward along the bottom of the conveyor under the push of the blades, as if the nut that cannot be rotated makes translational movement along the rotating screw. The main forward force of the material is the force that comes from the helical blade to move the material up and forward in the tangential direction of the blade when it rotates axially.
In order to make the screw shaft in a more favorable tensile state, the drive device and the discharge port are generally placed at the same end of the conveyor, and the feeding port is placed near the tail of the other end as much as possible. The rotating screw blades move the material and convey it, so that the force of the material not rotating with the screw conveyor blade is the weight of the material itself and the frictional resistance of the screw conveyor casing to the material. The surface type of the blade has solid surface type, belt surface type, blade surface type and other types according to the different materials to be conveyed. The screw shaft of the screw conveyor has thrust bearings at the end of the material movement direction to give the axial reaction force of the screw with the material, and when the length of the machine is long, an intermediate hanging bearing should be added.
Applications
Screw conveyor is applicable of conveying various of powder materials to form a complete set of packaging system. With the level sensor to realize the auto level tracking feeding and controlling.It is the most common feeding device in the powder feeding and powder packaging industry, which can be applied to the quantitative measurement of a variety of powders or fine particles such as flour, coffee powder, milk powder, tapioca flour, seasoning powder, chemical powder and other materials.
